Possible Israeli retaliation: Iran warns US of “complicity”

Iran warned that the US would be an accomplice if it supported Israel for an attack on Iran. Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Iravani criticized US President Joe Biden’s statements.

As tensions rise by the day in the Middle East, Iran made a new statement for the US.

Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Amir Saeed Iravani sent a letter to the members of the UN Security Council and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. Iravani reminded that in the letter, US President Joe Biden stated in a statement in Berlin that he had knowledge of Israel’s attack on Iran.

The Iranian representative said, “This means that the US tacitly approves and supports Israel’s illegal military aggression against Iran.” Noting that Biden’s statement also contradicted the US’s claims that it wanted to reduce regional tensions, he noted that these statements were provocative and dangerous.

AWARE OF THE ATTACK Iravani warned in the letter that the US supporting Israel with technical support, advanced weapons and comprehensive air defense systems would make the US an accomplice. Stating that the UN Security Council should condemn this incitement, he called for the US to comply with international law and the UN Charter. Biden responded “Yes” to a reporter’s question, “Do you have any information on how and when Israel will attack Iran?” during a press conference during his trip to Germany. Despite the questions, Biden avoided providing information about Israel’s attack plan.
