Surfing passion cost her life: Italian woman impaled by swordfish!

A tragic accident occurred off the coast of West Sumatra, Indonesia. 36-year-old Italian surfer Giulia Manfrini, who was stabbed in the chest by a swordfish while surfing, could not be saved despite all interventions.

 Manfrini was surfing off the coast of West Sumatra, Indonesia when a swordfish stabbed him in the chest.

Local authorities said in a statement that Manfri lost his life despite all efforts.

Condolences were shared on social media about Manfri, who was both a surf instructor and the founder of surf travel agency AWAVE. AWAVE said in a statement, “Giulia was surfing in Indonesia and had a freak accident. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of doctors, she could not be saved. We believe she died doing what she loved, in the place she loved.”
