“Iran will use all means to respond to Israel”

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Bekayi said Tehran would “use all available means” to respond to Israel’s attack on military targets in Iran. Bekayi said the nature of Iran’s response depends on the nature of the Israeli attack.

The Tehran administration continues to make retaliatory statements following the Israeli attack.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Bekayi said Tehran would “use all available means” to respond to Israel’s attack on military targets in Iran.

Iran had previously stated that Israel’s airstrike on Saturday caused only limited damage.

The US, on the other hand, considered the attack to be Israel’s legitimate right of self-defense.

Speaking at his weekly press conference broadcast on television today, Bekayi said the nature of Iran’s response depends on the nature of the Israeli attack.

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said yesterday that Iranian authorities must decide how best to demonstrate Tehran’s power to Israel. Khamenei said the Israeli attack should be “neither underestimated nor exaggerated.”

The Israeli military said scores of Israeli jets completed three waves of strikes on missile factories and other facilities near Tehran and in western Iran before dawn on Saturday.

The heavily armed arch-enemies have been trading retaliatory moves against each other for months. Saturday’s attack follows Israel’s missile strike on Iran on Oct. 1.
