Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz touched on the situation in Lebanon in a statement he made on the X social media platform today.
In a meeting with military officials, Katz reiterated that Israel will continue to strike Hezbollah with all its might and that there will be no ceasefire.
Katz was appointed to the Defense Ministry from the Foreign Ministry after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dismissed Yoav Gallant, with whom he had been in a long-standing conflict.
Health officials in Lebanon said at least eight people were killed and 14 injured in an airstrike on a house in the north of the country today.
Lebanese state media reported that rescue teams were struggling to pull survivors from under the rubble.
Yesterday, another Israeli airstrike hit a residence in the south, killing seven people and injuring seven others, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army said 190 rockets were fired from Lebanon yesterday, injuring at least five people.
