The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) made a statement regarding the detection of E. coli bacteria in the ‘Quarter Pounder’ hamburger in fast food brand restaurants in 14 states of the country. The statement noted that the number of people infected with the bacteria had risen to 104, and 34 people were hospitalized.
