Yesterday’s attack hit a tent area in the southern Gaza Strip where tens of thousands of displaced people are living. Health officials in Gaza announced that dozens of people were killed or missing in Israel’s raids on the cities of Beit Lahiya and Jibaliya overnight.
Local health officials announced on Thursday that the death toll in the Gaza Strip in the 13-month long Israeli offensive has risen to 44,056. The number of injured has risen to 104,268. The Gaza Health Ministry noted that more than half of the Palestinians who lost their lives were women and children. The ministry says the real number is higher because thousands of dead bodies are buried under building debris or in areas where health workers cannot reach.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza, which is run by Hamas, announced yesterday that hospitals only have two days’ worth of fuel left.
The director of field hospitals in Gaza, Marwan al-Hams, told reporters that all hospitals in the Palestinian territories “will stop working or reduce their services within 48 hours due to the occupation blocking the entry of fuel.”
The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant the other day.
The ICC reported that there was evidence that Netanyahu and Gallant committed war crimes.
