Four killed, buildings reduced to rubble in Israeli attack in Beirut

Israel continues to bombard Lebanon. Four people died and buildings were widely destroyed in the latest attack on the capital Beirut.

Lebanon announced that four people were killed and 23 injured in Israel’s attack on central Beirut today.

The statement reported that rescue efforts are continuing. The Lebanese Health Ministry said in a statement that Israel had targeted Basta al-Fawqa in Beirut.

There was no evacuation warning from the Israeli army for the Basta area. The official National News Agency (NNA) reported that rescue teams “removed the rubble on Al-Mamoun Street in Basta, where Israeli enemy aircraft targeted an eight-story building at dawn, completely destroying it and leaving many dead and injured.” The NNA also reported that Israeli jets fired six missiles at the building in the working-class Basta neighborhood, causing widespread destruction in nearby buildings.
