Fructose, especially when metabolized by the liver, can lead to fat accumulation, which can pave the way for liver cancer.
Coconut and other saturated fats may be risk factors for some types of cancer. Saturated fats can trigger the development of cancer by causing hormone imbalances and inflammation. It may also increase the risk of obesity-related cancer.
Trans fats are harmful fats found in processed foods and margarine. Trans fats can accelerate the development of cancer by creating inflammation in the body. Excessive consumption of saturated fats can also lead to metabolic problems such as hormone imbalances and insulin resistance in the body.
Foods containing high levels of salt, in particular, can increase the risk of stomach cancer. Salty foods can irritate the stomach lining and lead to inflammation of the stomach mucosa. These components can turn into carcinogenic compounds such as nitrosamines in the body. Various studies show that processed meats especially increase the risk of colorectal cancer. The World Health Organization classified processed meats as carcinogenic to human health in 2015.
