According to the Jordanian official news agency, Minister of Social Development Vefa Beni Mustafa provided information about the fire. Beni Mustafa, who reported that the fire broke out on the first floor of a private nursing home where 111 people were staying, that 6 people lost their lives and 60 people were injured, 5 of them seriously, said that the injured were taken to hospitals and the other elderly were evacuated to different centers. Minister Beni Mustafa noted that the investigation into the cause of the fire was ongoing.
