President Erdogan met with Macron

During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that protecting Syria’s territorial integrity and sovereignty was important and that he was pleased with France’s decision to reopen its embassy in Syria.

EFFORTS TO RETURN SYRIANS HAVE BEGUN

During the meeting between the two leaders, President Erdoğan also stated that efforts to return Syrian refugees to their country have begun.

Erdoğan told his French counterpart that the international community must cooperate to create sustainable conditions that will allow Syrians to stay there and to carry out reconstruction and revitalization efforts.
