Suicide attack in Iran: Intelligence Director killed

The District Intelligence Director Mujtaba Martyr lost his life in the terrorist attack in the Bandar Lenge district of Hormozgan Province in Iran.

A suicide attack was carried out in the Bandar Lenge district of Hormozgan Province in southern Iran.

The District Intelligence Director Mujtaba Martyr lost his life when the attacker detonated an explosive-laden vest on him at a point close to the police officers.

A statement from the Hormuzgan Regional Directorate of Security stated that the attack took place in front of the Bender Lenge district police station and that the attacker was a suicide bomber.

A statement shared by the Hormuzgan Prosecutor’s Office regarding the attack stated that the deceased Martyr stopped a vehicle that he considered suspicious and that the suicide bomber in the vehicle got out of the vehicle and blew himself up in front of the police station building.

It was reported that Martyr, who was injured as a result of the explosion, died in the hospital to which he was taken, and that the suicide bomber who carried out the attack died at the scene and that one person in connection with the attack was arrested.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
