North Korea and Russia friendship: The alliance that scares the world is expanding into space

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated in a joint press conference with his South Korean counterpart Cho Tae-yul that they expected cooperation between Russia and North Korea to increase further, and said, “We have reason to believe that Moscow plans to share its advanced space and satellite technologies with Pyongyang.” he said.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with his counterpart Cho Tae-yul in South Korea, where he came for official contacts. Speaking at a joint press conference, Blinken said the growing cooperation between North Korea and Russia was worrying for the United States and its allies.
“We have reason to believe that Moscow plans to share advanced space and satellite technologies with Pyongyang,” Blinken said, adding that “Putin may be close to changing the policy he has been following for decades by acknowledging North Korea’s nuclear weapons program.”
Blinken emphasized that concerns about cooperation between North Korea and Russia are an “important focal point” not only for the US, but also for South Korea and Japan.
Noting that the close cooperation between North Korea and Russia also affects the security environment in the Indo-Pacific region and Europe, Blinken said that for this reason, more cooperation should be established between the US and its allies and NATO. He expressed the need for more security cooperation.
Blinken said, “The United States looks forward to South Korea, together with Japan, Australia and New Zealand, increasing their cooperation with NATO to defend international rules and principles.” He spoke as follows.
Regarding North Korea’s latest missile test, South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul said, “We agreed to resolutely respond to North Korea’s possible provocations with a flawless common defense posture and extended deterrence.” Blinken’s visit was the first by a senior US official to the country since Yoon’s powers were suspended.
