TikTok and many other apps have been blocked in the US. Apple has published a list of apps that have been banned. Popular apps such as CapCut, Lemon8, and Marvel Snap are also on the list.
Chinese social networking app TikTok has been blocked in the country in accordance with a law that bans it in the US if it is not sold to an American company. Users trying to log in to TikTok, which has more than 170 million users in the US, encountered a message saying, “Sorry, TikTok is currently unavailable. A law banning TikTok has come into force in the US. Unfortunately, you cannot use TikTok at this time.”
HERE ARE THE BANNED APPS Due to the decision, Apple and Google started removing TikTok and other applications from their stores. Companies that do not comply with the law will face fines. Apple published a list of applications affected by the access ban. It is noteworthy that the list includes other applications associated with TikTok’s parent company ByteDance.
THOSE ENTERING THE US WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE In the statement made by Apple, it was stated that the applications in question cannot be downloaded or updated from the App Store in the United States. It was also stated that access was banned for people visiting the US or setting the App Store to a non-US region. Here is the list of applications that Apple removed:
