Trump ends gender reassignment grants for under-19s

US President Donald Trump signed an executive order to end federal support for gender reassignment for those under 19.

According to a written statement from the White House, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order titled “Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation” to end federal support for gender reassignment for those under 19.

The executive order reads, “The policy of the United States is not to finance, sponsor, encourage, aid or support the so-called ‘transition’ of a child from one gender to another, and to meticulously enforce all laws that prohibit or restrict these destructive and life-altering procedures. “This dangerous trend will remain a black mark in our nation’s history and must be stopped,” the decree said.

The decree emphasized that medical professionals across the country are crippling and sterilizing an increasing number of children based on the radical and false notion that a child’s sex can be changed through irreversible medical intervention.
