Historic moments in Gaza: Prisoner exchange in front of Hamas leader Sinwar’s house

The third round of a prisoner swap between Israel and Hamas is taking place today. As part of the swap, 110 Palestinians, one of whom is a soldier, will be released from Israeli prisons in exchange for 3 Israeli hostages. Hamas’ military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, released Israeli civilians Arbel Yehoud and Gadi Mozes, and 5 Thai hostages by handing them over to the Red Cross in front of the house of slain former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in Khan Younis. Hamas released Israeli soldier Agam Berger hours earlier.

The third swap process is being carried out within the scope of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement that started on January 19 in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas’ military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, handed over two Israeli civilians, 29-year-old Arbel Yehoud and 80-year-old Gadi Mozes, and five Thai captives to the Red Cross in front of the home of slain former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis.
The International Committee of the Red Cross in Khan Younis announced that seven captives, two Israelis and five Thais, had been taken.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) also announced that 7 captives were on their way to be handed over to Israeli forces in Gaza.
The Qassam Brigades handed over Israeli soldier Agam Berger to Red Cross officials in Jibaliya, northern Gaza.

Agam Berger, who was released and loaded into a Red Cross vehicle, returned to Israel.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office shared footage of Berger reuniting with his parents in Israel.

The Israeli army admitted that it violated the ceasefire agreement reached with Hamas in some parts of the Gaza Strip.
In a statement made by the army on the X platform, it was stated that army forces opened fire intermittently in some parts of Gaza in the last hours with the claim of “removing suspects who were advancing towards the army forces and posing a threat to them.”
The statement also stated that an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) belonging to the Israeli army opened fire on a vehicle traveling north from the central part of Gaza “with the claim that it was passing unchecked through an area where passage is not permitted according to the ceasefire agreement.” The Israeli army claims that it is fully complying with the ceasefire agreement.
The number of Palestinians who returned to their homes in Gaza in the last 72 hours has exceeded 500 thousand.
Palestinians forced to flee their homes in the Gaza Strip are returning after 15 months with the ceasefire agreement.
A statement by the government’s Media Office in Gaza said that the number of Palestinians who have returned to their homes in northern Gaza in the last 72 hours has exceeded 500,000.
