Countries with the most polite drivers have been revealed: Türkiye is in the top 3

A comprehensive study conducted by DiscoverCars.com has ranked the countries with the most polite drivers by evaluating the driving experiences of tourists from around the world. In this assessment, Cyprus attracted attention by ranking first with a score of 8.83. Morocco and France were among the countries with the least polite drivers on the road. Drivers in these countries often exhibit a more aggressive driving style, which has led to negative experiences for tourists.

A study conducted by DiscoverCars.com and involving 4,930 tourists has identified the countries with the most polite drivers worldwide. In the study, tourists rated the politeness of the drivers on a scale of 1 to 10. Only countries with 50 or more feedback were included in the list.
According to the results, Cyprus took first place as the country with the kindest drivers with a score of 8.83. New Zealand came in second with a score of 8.77, and Turkey came in third with a score of 8.73. In addition to these countries, other popular destinations such as Germany, the Canary Islands, Spain, Poland and Mauritius also drew attention with the polite behavior of their drivers.
According to the results of the research, Southern Cyprus stood out as the country with the most polite drivers, receiving 8.83 points from tourists. The fact that rental cars in Southern Cyprus are marked with red plates may be contributing to local drivers being more careful and understanding towards tourists.
New Zealand ranked second among the countries with the most polite drivers with a score of 8.77. Tourists who participated in the survey noted that the order in traffic in New Zealand and the polite attitude of drivers were remarkable. The traffic culture in the country offers a safe and respectful driving experience. In particular, the respect and patience shown by local drivers towards other vehicles has been frequently praised by tourists.
Although drivers in Turkey are considered polite by tourists, it has been stated that some local habits may differ. For example, it is common practice in Turkey to honk before overtaking, and traffic flows on the right.
Germany came in sixth with 8.45 points, while the Canary Islands came in sixth with 8.31 points, surpassing mainland Spain, which received 8.29 points. Poland and Mauritius shared ninth place with 8.25 points. Mainland Italy came in last place in the top ten list, with a score of 8.02.
The countries rated as having the least polite drivers in the survey included Morocco (7.97), France (7.84), the United Arab Emirates (7.80), Sicily (7.14) and Florida (7.14). Tourist drivers generally complained about fast drivers and impatience in these countries.
