Qassam Brigades confirm death of leader Deif

The Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, confirmed the killing of their leader Mohammed Deif and Military Council member Marwan Issa, along with five other members. No details were given as to when or how Deif died. The Israeli Army announced in a statement on August 1 that Mohammed Deif was killed in an operation.
