Alliance that scares the world: North Korean soldiers ready for operation in Russia

The US government has confirmed for the first time that North Korean troops are directly involved in the conflict. US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel confirmed that North Korean troops deployed to the Kursk region of Russia have begun participating in combat operations against Ukrainian forces. It was reported that Russian forces are training North Korean troops in “critical” infantry operations such as artillery, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and trench clearing operations. US Secretary of State Blinken also warned that the deployment of North Korean troops alongside Russian forces requires a “decisive response.”

A new statement came from the US State Department regarding North Korea’s deployment of troops to Russia. US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel confirmed that North Korean troops deployed to Russia’s Kursk region have begun participating in combat operations against Ukrainian forces.
“We are deeply concerned by Russia’s decision to turn to North Korea for troop supplies to continue its brutal war against Ukraine,” the statement said. “Today, I can confirm that more than 10,000 North Korean troops have been sent to eastern Russia, and most of them have crossed into the western Kursk Oblast and have begun participating in combat operations alongside Russian forces,” Patel said.
Russian forces reportedly trained North Korean troops in “critical” infantry operations, such as artillery, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and trench clearing operations.
“Some of the challenges they have to overcome are the integration problem, the language barrier, command and control and communication,” said Patel, the foreign ministry spokeswoman.
The US continues to monitor the process in cooperation with other allies in the region transferred.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken also made a statement, warning that the deployment of North Korean troops alongside Russian forces fighting on the Ukrainian border required a “decisive response.” Blinken said that in his talks with NATO chief Mark Rutte in Brussels, North Korean forces had discussed the fact that “they have been injected into the war and are now literally engaged in a conflict that requires and will receive a decisive response.”
The statement by the US State Department came after Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un ratified the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement, which includes mutual assistance in the event of an attack on either side.
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, North Korean soldiers who raided Ukrainian positions in recent days suffered their first casualties on the front. It was reported that 11,000 North Korean soldiers were on the front lines, and that this was the first ground operation by a foreign power in Russia since World War II.
North Korean troops are being deployed to an active battlefield for the first time since the 1950s.
The involvement of a second nuclear power in Russia’s war against Ukraine threatens to widen the war.
