Alphabet’s revenue and profits rise in Q3

Alphabet, one of the US technology companies, increased its revenue by 15 percent and its net profit by 34 percent in the third quarter of this year.

Alphabet, the parent company of Google, announced its balance sheet for the July-September period. Accordingly, Alphabet’s revenue in the third quarter of the year increased by 15 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching $88.3 billion. The company had revenue of $76.7 billion in the third quarter of 2023. The company’s net income also increased by 34 percent to $26.3 billion in the third quarter compared to the same period last year. Alphabet had a net income of $19.7 billion in the same period last year. The company’s earnings per share, which was $1.55 in the third quarter of last year, increased to $2.12 in the same period this year. Alphabet’s revenue and profit in the period in question exceeded market expectations. Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, whose evaluations were included in the statement, stated that the momentum across the company was “extraordinary” and pointed to new artificial intelligence features in the search engine. Pichai, who reported that YouTube’s total advertising and subscription revenues exceeded $50 billion for the first time in the last four quarters, noted that they achieved strong revenue growth in the third quarter of this year.
