The homes of many celebrities from Anthony Hopkins to Paris Hilton were reduced to ashes in the disaster. The Kardashian family, who evacuated their home in Hollywood, became the focus of reactions. According to the Daily Mail, the Kardashian family, who rose to fame with the reality show, are accused of wasting vital water resources that could be used to save homes in Los Angeles.
Since 2022, strict measures have been implemented in Los Angeles to save water, with Los Angeles residents limited to watering their gardens twice a week, for eight minutes each time. Kim Kardashian, who lives in a $60 million home in The Oaks, a private gated community, was fined that year for using far more water than city officials deemed appropriate. Other celebrities, including Sylvester Stallone and comedian Kevin Hart, were also fined.
“Everyone was told to cut off water for this exact reason, to fight the fire. They kept watering because they could afford the fines,” a neighbor of Kardashian told the Daily Mail, adding that the celebrities were not complying with the measures.
On the other hand, it is known that famous names living in the region hire private firefighters for $2,000 an hour to protect their properties.

“My phone is ringing non-stop. Demand has never been higher,” said Chris Dunn, owner of Covered 6, which serves Hollywood’s elite.
