Bacteria crisis in McDonald’s hamburgers: The cause of the outbreak has been revealed!

The cause of the “E. coli” outbreak seen in McDonald’s products in the USA, which caused 90 people to get sick and one person to die, has been determined. US health officials said, “Freshly chopped onions are the likely source of this outbreak.”

90 people became ill and 1 person died due to E. coli bacteria detected in hamburgers produced in McDonald’s restaurants.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shared the results of an investigation into the detection of E. coli bacteria in McDonald’s “Quarter Pounder” hamburger in 13 states of the country.
As a result of the investigation, it was stated that the bacteria were transmitted to the onions used in only one type of hamburger sold by the restaurant and that “the freshly chopped onions used are the probable source of this outbreak.” McDonald’s also announced that these onions have been removed from the menu.
It is stated that the E. coli bacteria that caused the McDonald’s outbreak causes “very serious diseases” especially in the elderly, children and people with weak immune systems.
E. coli bacteria cause stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting that can last three to four days. Most people recover without needing treatment, but some patients can develop complications.
