China expands visa-free travel

China announced that it has expanded its visa-free travel application area to include many countries, including Japan, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia and Montenegro.

In a statement made by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was noted that China’s visa-free travel application area has been expanded.

The statement stated that the visa-free travel application will cover Japan, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro and other countries from November 30, 2024 to December 31, 2025.

In addition, the visa-free stay period for citizens of 38 countries will be extended from 15 days to 30 days.

China has previously made arrangements to facilitate visa-free travel for South Korea and some European countries in order to boost tourism and trade.
