NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte met with US President-elect Donald Trump in Florida.
NATO spokesperson Farah Dakhlallah said today that Rutte met with Trump in Palm Beach yesterday. “They discussed a range of global security issues facing the alliance,” the spokesman said.
Trump has pushed Europe to increase defense spending in his first term and has questioned the fairness of the NATO transatlantic alliance.
The meeting came amid discussions about Russia’s new ballistic missiles.
