Flood-hit Valencia asks for 31 billion euros to heal its wounds

Valencia has asked for 31 billion 402 million euros to cover the damages in the region following the floods.

The autonomous government of the flood-hit region of Valencia in Spain has requested 31 billion 402 million euros from the central government to cover the damages and rebuild the city. Valencian Autonomous Government President Carlos Munoz said in a statement that they have prepared a 136-article action plan to meet the economic damage caused by the flood that hit more than 50 districts in Valencia and to rebuild, and that they have requested a 31 billion 402 million euro aid package from the central government. Munoz stated that the second installment of income tax payments for disaster victims have been suspended, and announced that a 6,000 euro grant will be given to each family affected by the disaster immediately, and that the first payments will begin by the end of the week.
