Google Maps led to death this time: It led to the unfinished bridge path, 3 people lost their lives!

Three men in India lost their lives after crossing an unfinished bridge as a result of Google Maps’ incorrect guidance. Google announced that it was investigating the incident. The families, however, stated that the necessary safety precautions were not taken on the unfinished bridge and held the authorities responsible.

A tragic incident occurred in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Three men, who were trying to cross an unfinished bridge as a result of Google Maps’ guidance, lost their lives after their vehicle fell off the collapsed section of the bridge.
The victims were travelling from Gurugram to Bareilly and during their journey, they tried to cross a bridge over the Ramganga River as per Google Maps’ guidance. However, a portion of the bridge had collapsed in the floods months ago and the reconstruction process was not yet complete. Drivers traveling at night did not notice that the bridge had ended.
The families of the accident victims reacted to both the authorities and Google Maps. “The road should have been closed, but it wasn’t. Google Maps shouldn’t have shown the bridge as completed,” he said, drawing attention to the negligence.
This isn’t the first time Google Maps has been linked to a death. Last year, a similar incident occurred in the US state of North Carolina. A driver lost his life while trying to cross a collapsed bridge, and his family filed a negligence lawsuit against Google. In that accident, the bridge had not been repaired for nine years.
A Google spokesperson said in a statement regarding the incident, “We express our deepest condolences to the families. “We are working closely with the authorities to support the investigation of the problem,” he said.
Experts warn that GPS navigation systems can sometimes lead users into dangerous areas. Hikers and drivers in particular can face serious risks due to outdated map information.

While the investigation into the incident is ongoing, the construction company’s failure to take safety measures is also a target of criticism.
