He commutes to work every day by plane: It’s cheaper than paying rent

Racheal Kaur, who lives in Malaysia, says she flies to work every day and that it improves her work-life balance. Kaur takes a 40-minute flight between Penang and Kuala Lumpur every day of the week, a move she says she enjoys.

Kaur says she gets the chance to spend time with her children because she commutes to work by plane. She wakes up at around 4am and leaves home at 5am to catch her flight.
Kaur boards the plane at 05:55 and arrives at the office at 07:45 every morning. Kaur, who said she paid for her own ticket expenses, claims that flying to work is cheaper than renting an apartment in Kuala Lumpur.
Racheal Kaur isn’t the only one who flies to work. Last year, a woman revealed that her husband’s job required him to fly regularly between Minneapolis and Manhattan.
High costs of living can push workers to make such crazy decisions in many parts of the world. This is especially common in the US states.
