Storm Darragh caused power outages and loss of life in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
According to a statement from the UK Meteorological Office (Met Office), the storm’s speed reached 150 kilometers per hour in some places. The Energy Networks Association (ENA), which is made up of electricity distribution companies, said that approximately 768,000 subscribers in England and Wales experienced electricity problems during the day. The UK and Irish governments called on millions of people to stay at home.
