Israeli army claims new: “UN peacekeepers were hit with white phosphorus”

The Financial Times has published a new report revealing Israel’s aggressive actions against Lebanon.

The report said the Israeli army is suspected of forcing its way into a UN peacekeeping base in Lebanon and using white phosphorous at close range, injuring 15 soldiers. The report said there have been a number of attacks on UN troops in Lebanon, which reportedly damaged several facilities at border posts in southern Lebanon and injured soldiers. CHEMICAL WEAPONS USED ON OCTOBER 13 The reported incident occurred on October 13, when the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said two Israeli tanks broke through the gates of one of its bases. The tanks left the base 45 minutes later following complaints. It was revealed that 15 peacekeepers were taken to hospital and treated for burns and respiratory problems due to the use of chemical bombs during the incident. The secret document prepared by the UN determined that the bomb used was white phosphorus. The report noted that UNIFIL forces and bases on duty at the border were attacked and damaged many times. The Israeli army has been directly targeting UNIFIL bases since October 8.
