The fire reportedly broke out in a strategically located oil depot near a military air base following a Ukrainian drone strike.

Russian officials on Wednesday said “an industrial facility” had been hit, but did not provide further details about the facility. “The area of ​​the fire at an industrial enterprise in Engels was reduced by 80%,” the governor of the Saratov region Roman Busargin said.
