Minister Fidan Discusses Gaza Ceasefire with US Counterpart

Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. During the meeting, they discussed ending the conflict in Gaza and achieving a permanent ceasefire.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan and his US counterpart Antony Blinken met on the margins of the G20 Leaders’ Summit.

The two ministers discussed the need to find a diplomatic solution to the conflict in Lebanon that fully implements United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 and allows citizens on both sides of the border to return to their homes,” the US State Department said in a statement.

The ongoing humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza, as well as ending the war and releasing all hostages, were also discussed in the statement.

The sides also discussed the importance of an honorable and lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
