A terrorist attack was carried out on the facilities of the Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TAI) in the Kahramankazan district of Ankara. Following the attack, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte made a statement. Rutte condemned the terrorist attack on the TAI campus and said, “We stand with our NATO ally Turkey. We strongly condemn all forms of terrorism.”
An armed and bomb terrorist attack was carried out at around 15:30 at TAI’s campus in the Kahramankazan district of Ankara.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said in a statement that “the alliance stands with its ally Turkey” in the face of the attack on the TAI campus.
Rutte condemned the terrorist attack in his statement and said in a social media post, “The news of deaths and injuries coming from Ankara is deeply concerning. NATO stands with our ally Turkey. “We strongly condemn all forms of terrorism and are following developments closely,” he said.
MET WITH PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN
Following his statement, Rutte held a phone call with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. During this meeting, Rutte conveyed his get well wishes and message of solidarity to President Erdoğan for the terrorist attack.
