New regulation is coming to cryptocurrencies: The date has been announced

The date for secondary regulations for the cryptocurrency sector has been announced. The new rules are planned to establish the functioning of the sector on a more solid foundation.

New regulations for crypto assets are on the way. Regulations for the sector are expected to come in January 2025. Deputy Secretary General of the Capital Markets Association of Turkey (TSPB) Elif Gönençer said, “Secondary regulations will make significant contributions to the progress of processes in a clearer, more transparent and reliable framework.” The new regulations are expected to enter into force within 6 months after they become law. Stating that the crypto law draws a general framework, Gönençer said that the new regulations will determine the operation. Gönençer stated that all crypto asset service providers will be members of TSPB in accordance with the law and with the changes to be made in the status. Gönençer said that many articles protecting investors will be implemented after the secondary regulations, and he thought that more people will be interested in this ecosystem. Gönençer also stated that they will produce research reports for investors, markets and regulatory authorities regarding the crypto asset world.
