A family in the US has filed a lawsuit against the hospital, claiming that their premature baby’s neck was broken by a nurse at the hospital.
Gianna Lopera, a woman who gave birth prematurely in a hospital in the US state of Florida in June 2022, stated that her baby was placed in an incubator after birth and later died.
According to the information in court documents, the premature baby, born at 24 weeks, died due to a broken neck 2 weeks after being placed in the incubator.
According to the family, the baby’s neck was broken by a nurse and then put back in the incubator so that it would not be visible.
“HE SHOULD BE JUDGED ACCORDING TO THE FACTS”
The family, who wanted to get information about the cause of their premature baby’s death, filed a lawsuit against the hospital, claiming negligence. The hospital’s press spokesperson told reporters, “We extend our deepest condolences to this family and any family who loses a child, but we believe that those who provide care in this environment should be judged based on the facts, not speculation. We look forward to discussing the facts of this case appropriately.”
