Putin apologizes to Aliyev for Azerbaijani plane crash in Kazakhstan

Russian President Putin, who discussed the plane crash in Kazakhstan with Azerbaijani leader Aliyev on the phone, apologized because the incident took place in Russian airspace. Putin said that Ukrainian UAVs attacked Russia while the plane was trying to land in Grozny and that Russian air defenses were active during the plane’s landing.

Putin said that Ukrainian UAVs attacked Russia while the plane was trying to land in Grozny, and that Russian air defenses were active during the plane’s landing.
Aliyev also told Putin, “The passenger plane was subjected to external physical and technical interference in Russian airspace, completely lost control and was directed to Aktau.”
On December 25, an Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan.

There were 67 people on the plane, including 5 crew members.
It was announced that 38 people lost their lives in the accident.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also announced that he met with Aliyev regarding the Azerbaijani plane that crashed in Russia.
Zelensky told Aliyev that Russia should make a statement about what happened.
