Tension continues to escalate on the Korean Peninsula and its surrounding areas. The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) announced that a live-fire exercise was conducted yesterday in the Taean region of the country’s South Chungcheong province.
It was emphasized that the South Korean army is ready to respond “crushingly” to any provocation by Pyongyang.
