SpaceX prepares to launch 23 Starlink satellites

US space transportation company SpaceX is preparing to launch 23 Starlink broadband internet satellites from Florida on the evening of Wednesday, October 23.

SpaceX, the space transportation company owned by entrepreneur and businessman Elon Musk, plans to launch 23 more Starlink internet satellites. The launch, originally planned for October 22, was canceled due to weather conditions. SpaceX will broadcast the launch live on its X channel, with coverage starting about five minutes before liftoff.

LANDING IN THE OCEAN 8 MINUTES LATER If all goes as planned, the Falcon 9 rocket’s first stage will return to Earth about eight minutes after liftoff, landing on a drone ship called “A Shortfall of Gravitas” in the Atlantic Ocean. This mission will mark the Falcon 9’s 18th launch and landing with this particular booster, and the 13th Starlink mission. The Falcon 9’s upper stage will carry the Starlink satellites to low Earth orbit (LEO), where they will be deployed about 65 minutes after launch.

WHAT IS STARLINK? Starlink is a network of satellites launched into Earth orbit by SpaceX that provides internet service to people around the world.
