Syrian leader Sharaa in Ankara for the first time: Will meet with President Erdogan

Syrian leader Ahmed Shara has arrived in the capital Ankara. Shara will meet with President Erdogan. The two leaders will discuss the latest developments in Syria, as well as the reconstruction of the country’s economy and ensuring lasting stability and security.

Syrian leader Ahmed Shara has arrived in Turkey for the first time. Shara will meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara.

Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun announced yesterday on social media platform X that Erdoğan and Shara will discuss the latest developments in Syria, as well as possible joint measures to rebuild the country’s economy and ensure lasting stability and security.
Altun added that the two will also discuss the support that Turkey can provide to Syria’s transitional government and people on multilateral platforms.

President Shara went to Saudi Arabia yesterday on his first foreign visit since the overthrow of Bashar Assad last month. Shara left Riyadh after meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
