Trump’s Gaza Message: Without Me, Hostages Would Not Have Returned

Regarding the cease-fire signed between Hamas and Israel, US President Donald Trump said, “If it weren’t for me, the hostages in Gaza wouldn’t have returned.” Trump argued that if he were president, there would be no inflation in the US, the Russia-Ukraine war would never have started and the “war” in the Middle East would not have happened.

US President Trump answered reporters’ questions at the White House. Trump gave messages on many issues, from domestic policy to foreign policy. Trump indicated that the Russia-Ukraine war must now end, and said that he would meet with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy. When asked whether he would impose additional sanctions on Russia if Putin did not come to the negotiating table for a ceasefire, Trump said, “Probably yes,” and said, “If you had a competent president, which you don’t, then this (war) would never have happened. The war in Ukraine would never have happened if I were president.” Arguing that Biden was disrespectful to Putin and mismanaged the process, Trump stated that he would meet with Putin and work to end the war as soon as possible. However, noting that this process was a bilateral ceasefire process, Trump said, “Zelenskiy told me he really wants peace, but it takes two to tango. We’ll see what happens. I will meet with (Putin) whenever he wants. I would like to see this war end.” Trump also argued that Russia lost around 800 thousand soldiers and Ukraine lost 600 to 700 thousand soldiers in the war and that these numbers should be openly shared with the public. Stating that he was interested in whether or not he would continue sending weapons to Ukraine, Trump noted that he would meet with both Zelenskiy and Putin to fully determine the road map. Trump stated that he also met with Chinese President Xi Jinping and asked for his support in the process of ending the Ukraine war. “THE PRISONER EXCHANGE HAPPENED THANKS TO ME” In response to a question, Trump said, “We are thinking of going to the Middle East, but not yet. The prisoners are returning right now. If I weren’t here, they would never have come back.” “If this (agreement) had been made a year ago, if Biden had made this agreement 1.5-2 years ago… Frankly, October 7 (2023) should never have happened. However, they allowed this to happen because of their weakness. Biden could not do it. This was resolved with the imposition that I set as a deadline.” Trump accused the Biden administration of “causing the war to drag on.” Trump argued that if he were president, there would be no inflation in the U.S., the Russia-Ukraine war would never have started, and the “war” in the Middle East would not have happened.
