Trump’s second term takes shape: Who’s on the A-Team?

Donald Trump, who won his second term in the United States, appointed Michael Waltz as National Security Advisor. According to the American press, Marco Rubio will be the Foreign Minister of the new administration. As Trump’s cabinet slowly begins to take shape, let’s take a look at the names on the A-Team…

US President-elect Donald Trump has appointed new members to his new administration.
The Republican candidate has assigned loyalists to many key positions after signaling that he wants his cabinet to be approved without Senate oversight.
The finalized and probable names that will take part in Trump’s new administration have been announced.
Trump announced Susan Summerall Wiles, one of his two directors who actively took part in the campaign process, as the White House Chief of Staff.
Wiles will be the first woman in US history to hold this position.
Trump said, “Susie’s appointment is a well-deserved honor. I have no doubt that she will make our country proud.”
The Republican leader also nominated Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik as his candidate for United Nations Ambassador.
Stefanik, a key Trump ally who is entering her fifth term in office, is a staunch defender of Israel.
While Stephen Miller will be appointed as the Deputy Chief of Staff of the White House and Michael Waltz as the National Security Advisor, Senator Marco Rubio is expected to be appointed as the Secretary of State. Waltz, a loyalist to Trump who also served as a colonel in the National Guard, criticized China’s activities in the Asia-Pacific and said the US should be prepared for a possible conflict in the region.
Lee Zeldin, 44, who previously served in the US Congress, was appointed as the director of the Environmental Protection Agency. In a press release, Trump said Zeldin “has a strong legal background and will ensure fair and swift deregulation decisions while maintaining the highest environmental standards.” Zeldin, on the other hand, said in a statement on the X social media platform, “It is an honor for me to join President Trump’s cabinet as the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.”
Trump said on Sunday that he would nominate hardline immigration official Tom Homan as the country’s “border czar.” Homan’s tough stance on deportation and his previous work as head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) made him an expected choice.
These choices underscore Trump’s desire to fulfill the core messages of his election campaign.
Meanwhile, the US media claimed that Stephen Miller, the architect of the immigration policy dubbed the “Muslim ban” during Trump’s first term, had been chosen as deputy chief of staff.
