The X social media account used by Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Hebrew has been suspended.

Those who tried to access Khamenei’s account were greeted with the warning “Account has been suspended. X suspends accounts that violate X rules.”

HIS OTHER ACCOUNTS APPEAR TO BE OPEN

Khamenei, who has accounts in many languages including Persian, Turkish, English, Urdu, and Spanish, appears to have accounts in other languages open. A Hebrew X account was opened in Khamenei’s name the day before, and the following statements from a speech he made yesterday, “The Zionist regime has a miscalculation towards Iran. This must be reversed. They still have not fully understood Iran’s power, capabilities, and will. We need to explain this to them,” were shared. The statements in question were shared by Israeli media, including Israel’s state television channel KAN. No statement has yet been made on the subject by X or Khamenei’s office. US-based social media platform X had previously temporarily suspended the Iranian leader’s accounts several times.
